Learning...SCIENCE

Friday

My first weekend in science class was filled with two days full of fun and interesting tactics to bring to my classroom in the future. Our first activity was a puzzle and story of sorts (which will keep kids interested and entertained while learning and exploring) about being anthropologists finding bones! I think if I was a teacher (if possible)…I would hide the packets in the classroom and have maps for the groups to follow and use to find the bones. It was fun to try and assemble random bones and create an animal out of it and to see the result!

Saturday

Saturday, we went to the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro. Out of the 14 years I have lived here, I have never been, but I absolutely loved the facility! It was fun and full of knowledge! I learned several fun ways to teach students about nature and about strategies and crafts to bring along with it! Not to mention I got to see two owls and spend time outdoors (which I love!). I definitely plan on coordinating with the Discovery Center in the future when I am a teacher!
